Tour Description

Discover NYC's place in fashion history as we discover the Garment District. The garment industry has historically been one of the top money makers in NYC. Guided by an established fashion designer who is also a licensed NYC tour guide, learn about the history of fashion, explore the sites of the District, and discover how NYC became a fashion mecca, deeply rooted in the story of immigration. You will get a first hand account of the ins and outs of the industry from your fashion veteran guide as well as learn about the design process from start to finish. This tour is perfect for history buffs, anyone interested in a career in fashion design, Project Runway fans, avid sewers.

How it works

Step 1. Click 'Go Now' to request a tour that starts right away. Click 'Schedule Tour' to send a request for a time in the future.
*Your credit card will not be charged until the guide accepts the request.*

Step 2. If the guide is available, they will accept the tour request. Either way, we will notify you via email/text within 5 minutes for 'Go Now' requests and within 24 hours for 'Schedule Tour' requests.

Step 3. If you have chosen 'Go Now', your guide will immediately leave to come meet you and start your tour. If you have scheduled a tour, you'll receive a reminder 24 hours in advance of the start time

Step 4. After the guide accepts the tour request, we'll send you a text/email with a confirmation code. When the guide arrives, you'll give the guide that confirmation code to start the tour.
