Tour Description

Just north of San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge, Mount Tamalpais State Park rises majestically from the heart of Marin County. Its deep canyons and sweeping hillsides are cloaked with cool redwood forests, oak woodlands, open grasslands, and sturdy chaparral. Discover the beauty of the back roads and hiking trails of the Tam Wilderness! -Full and half day and hiking excursions from 3 to 15 miles. -Includes pack lunch on full day hikes. -Graded, paved and off trail routes and elevation based on fitness level -The Dipsea Trail- Mt Tam Summit-The Mill Valley Steps- Waterfalls of Tam- Trans Tam Thru Hike from Mill Valley to Stinson Beach- Marin Headlands Tour Proper footwear, outerwear and small backpack required. The breathtaking panorama from Mount Tamalpais’s 2,571-foot peak includes the Farallon Islands 25 miles out to sea, the Marin County hills, San Francisco Bay, the East Bay, and Mount Diablo. On rare occasions, the snow-covered Sierra Nevada can be seen 150 miles away.

How it works

Step 2. If the guide is available, they will accept the tour request. Either way, we will notify you via email/text within 5 minutes for 'Go Now' requests and within 24 hours for 'Schedule Tour' requests.

Step 3. If you have chosen 'Go Now', your guide will immediately leave to come meet you and start your tour. If you have scheduled a tour, you'll receive a reminder 24 hours in advance of the start time

Step 4. After the guide accepts the tour request, we'll send you a text/email with a confirmation code. When the guide arrives, you'll give the guide that confirmation code to start the tour.
